NEW for autumn 2018: Steve Van Matre in the UK

Earthwalk Leadership Workshop with Steve Van Matre

This visit to the UK, on the way to mainland Europe and China, also launches the newly published book "Earthwalks". This long awaited publication contains 50 earthwalk activities, many of them new, others being completely new revisions of some well-loved activities.

The new book will only be available initially through these workshops, which will also be of interest to experienced earthwalk leaders wishing to explore this new collection of wonderful sensory and empathetic activities which introduce others to the natural world and help them build their own relationship with our planet.

An Earthwalk is made up of a series of four to six engaging activities designed for a light and refreshing touch of nature that focuses on reawakening senses and sharpening perceptions. During an Earthwalk the leader is the guide rather than the focal point for the focus is on the natural world. There are new ways to re-discover familiar things and captivating introductions to the unfamiliar as participants get to know the subtleties of micro-marvels, the worlds underfoot, and often-overlooked elements of nature. This one-day workshop emphasises the leadership skills necessary for offering great Earthwalks, which flow from beginning to end, as participants explore the natural wonders of a place.
